Servant found dead at Congress leader's home

A servant employed by Moradabad district Congress president was found dead at his home Thursday morning.

Moradabad: The body of a 32-year-old servant working at the residence of the district Congress president found in mysterious condition on Thursday morning.

The district president, Vindor Gumbar, on Monday went on a family trip to Haridwar when the incident occurred, informed his 28-year-old son, Sanjeev Gumbar, the only person inside the house at the time of the incident.

While speaking to media, he said that he found the body in his bathroom unconsciously lying on the floor.

"As the water tank got empty, I rushed to turn on the motor pump and I saw him lying on the floor. I immediately called my father and he advised me to call the police", said Sanjeev.

When asked about the servant, Sanjeev said that he had been working at his house since November 2020 and also informed the family members about his death.

Meanwhile, the police sent the body for post-mortem and a case has been filed.
