Pauri (Uttarakhand): The Pauri-Srinagar motorway is blocked by debris from a damaged check dam which was washed in a cloudburst at Bangwadi in Uttarakhand at around 3.30 am, an official said on Sunday.
Vehicular movement on the highway has been stalled as the debris of the damaged check dam has covered the road connecting Srinagar and Pauri. A lot of vehicles were seen stranded on the route after the incident.
The police administration, the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) and the revenue department team have been working to remove the debris on the highway.

The incident also caused damaged a cowshed near the check dam. No loss of animal life has been reported yet.

Many four-wheelers and two-wheelers are reported buried in the debris.
