Rival groups clash in Bareilly land dispute

A deadly clash broke out between the two groups over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly on Monday. The video which was taped by a villager present at the spot went viral on several social media platforms.

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh): A video of a deadly clash that broke out between the two groups over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly on Monday went viral on several social media platforms.

In the video, five men were seen shooting at a 40-year-old-man who was driving a tractor and ploughing the field.

According to the reports, the scuffle broke out between Shiv Singh and Rahul Singh over a land dispute some five days ago. On Monday, Rahul started ploughing on the field of Shiv after which he brought 4-5 people and started firing. However, none of them injured during the incident.

When it comes to the notice of local police, they rushed to the spot and handled the situation.

While speaking to ETV Bharat, SSP Bareilly, Rohit Singh said, "The scuffle broke out over land dispute between the locals. Both parties have open-fired at each other in which no one has injured."

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against six people and the pistols used in the firing have been recovered.
