Muslim family in Meerut donates land for temple

A Muslim family in UP's Meerut has set an example of unity and communal brotherhood by donating private land to build a temple. The owner donated 200 yards of his personal land in the Brahmapuri area to the Shiv Mandir in 1976. His son Asim Ali registered the land in the name of the Mandir Samiti.

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh): While sectarian forces in the country are engaged in dividing the society for their own personal and political interests, there is no shortage of people in the country who by their actions promote Hindu-Muslim harmony and become an example of harmony. One such Muslim family from Meerut has set an example for society by donating their private land to build a temple.

Qasim Ali, a resident of Rashid Nagar, a Muslim-majority area of Meerut, donated 200 yards of his personal land in the Brahmapuri area to the Shiv Mandir in 1976. His son Asim Ali registered the land in the name of the Mandir Samiti. The family has set an example of mutual unity and love.

The family who donated the land says that the love and mutual unity that we had before is still there today. He added that people of all religions should come forward to build a temple or a mosque in the country. Such actions will further strengthen the mutual unity.
