Man dies of COVID-19, helpless wife sings song hoping to wake him up

A helpless wife, singing songs while watching her husband's body from a window in an isolation ward in the hope that he would wake up went viral on social media on Wednesday.

Bareilly: A video went viral on social media, showing a helpless wife, singing songs while watching her husband's body from a window in an isolation ward in the hope that he would wake up.

Her husband Bazir Ahmed, a 35-year-old man died of COVID-19 disease in Bareilly of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

This is the first COVID-19 death in the district.

The man had no travel history and his family claimed he did not come in contact with any positive patient.

Bazir tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
