Uttar Pradesh: The Cabinet Minister of Uttar Pradesh Satish Mahana in a statement said: "Mayawati has become habitual of accusing opposition parties on twitter so that she does not disappear completely from the face of politics."

He went on to say: "It is an irony that she who herself does politics on religious and caste grounds, is accusing BJP of raising religious turmoils in the country."

He added by saying, "Nobody is responsible for the cow deaths in Uttar Pradesh, they died due to old age."

He further said: "CM Adityanath Yogi is looking after the law and order of the state and no carelessness is being shown in the matter. Occurences happen in every state and so does in Uttar Pradesh. Still, an enquiry has been set up in the case of the death of 35 cows."

Mahana also spoke on Swatantra Dev Singh being made the head of BJP in Uttar Pradesh, speaking of which he said: "He is a leader well connected with his roots. He is aware of all the ministers in the state and party would flourish and grow under his leadership."

According to sources, 3 MPs from BSP could resign in the coming days. On being asked about the issue, he said that he wasn't aware of it. He only knew about new members joining the party every now and then.

"This is an internal matter of BSP and I have no clue about it," he said.
