Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): A special investigation team (SIT) of Uttar Pradesh Police, probing the case against gangster Vikas Dubey, wrote a letter to Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), demanding a probe regarding Dubey's unauthorised properties.

The SIT has already prepared a list of property holders including Dubey's parents, wife and sons and made it available to LDA.

According to official sources, many properties have been registered in Dubey's relatives' names.

Earlier SIT probed Dubey's unauthorised properties in different places including Noida, Kanpur and it's neighbouring districts, but did not found a single document for the same.

However, the team recovered some properties registered in the names of Dubey and his brother at Bikru village.

One of the main occupations of the late gangster was land grabbing.

He had even fixed rates for either grabbing land or getting it vacated on request, said sources.

Dubey had many plots in his name from Unnao to Kanpur grabbed from others, the SIT claimed.

Meanwhile, Dubey was wanted in 60 criminal cases, including murders, robbery, looting, land grabbing, and extortion lodged against him.

He was also accused of killing a BJP MLA in a police station 20 years ago but was exonerated for lack of evidence
