Four booked for raping 16-year-old girl in UP's Bareilly

Uttar Pradesh police have booked four people for raping a 16-year-old girl in Bareilly. The accused included the girl’s uncle.

Bareilly (UP): Police here have lodged a case against four people for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl and threatening to upload her video on social media, an official said on Saturday.

The accused included the girl’s uncle.

Police said the girl was raped by her uncle and three youths around a month ago.

On April 2, the girl tried to commit suicide but was saved by her brother, after which she disclosed the incident.

Aonla police station SHO Manoj Kumar Singh said the case was registered under sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act.

Efforts are on to nab the accused, he said.
