Balram of Chaturipur village had gone to Riyadh last year after spending some time in the village, family member Umesh Singh Patel told ETV Bharat here. He said all was well till a few weeks ago but the problem started when Balram stopped calling them on phone.

"First, they did not pick up your calls but as we kept on calling, they picked it up the call and told us that Balram was not keeping well and as we asked them to let us speak to him, they said he was no more," Patel said, adding that they kept on giving contradictory statements.

He also said that now after he died the employers have asked for lakhs of rupees for sending the body back.

"We have tried to seek help from our MLA and MP but of no use," he said, adding that the family has finally urged the state government to help them get the body of Balram back so that last rites could be performed.
