Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh): A horrific road accident took place in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday afternoon. A DCM rammed into a Tata Magic, which was filled with passengers. So far eight people have died in the accident. It is learnt that 26 people were travelling in Tata Magic and all of them were reportedly going to attend a marriage in Rampur. Meanwhile, the police admitted the injured to a hospital.
The accident took place in the Bhagatpur police station area of the district. One Abbas of Korvaku village was going to Rampur to attend the wedding of a sister's son and daughter, along with their relatives. In all, 26 members of his family were travelling in Tata Magic. As soon as his Tata Magic vehicle reached Dalatpur Kashiram Road, the DCM van coming at a high speed in the opposite direction hit his vehicle. Both vehicles overturned after the collision. Many villagers rushed to the spot soon after the accident and informed the police about it.

Two women and a child died on the spot while the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. In the afternoon, the death toll increased to seven. On the same evening, another injured person died while undergoing treatment. So far eight people have died in the accident. Top police officers and officers reached the spot to take stock of the situation. The injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The condition of many of the injured is said to be serious.
