Ayodhya: The organizers of 'Deepotsav' celebrations fell short of as many as 50,000 'deeps' as preparations were underway for Diwali celebrations. sources said.
A number of people on Thursday decorated the venue with 'diyas' and paintings for 'Deepotsav', which will be held from November 11 to 13.
This year 5.51 lakh earthen lamps are to be lit at 'Ram ki Paidi ghats' but the organizers ran out of 'diyas', which they say would be arranged soon.
It is the fourth 'Deepotsav' organised by the government of Uttar Pradesh in Ayodhya.
Over 100 workers dedicated for the preparation of 11 tableaus. Colourful tableaus and traditional dances would be performed at the 'Shobha Yatra'. It will be followed by the 'Deepotsav' at the Ram Janmabhoomi site, they said.
