Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): The temple town of Ayodhya is all set to be illuminated with lamps ahead of the Ram Temple 'bhoomi pujan' as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reportedly called for a 'deepotsav' to mark the occasion.
Adityanath had on July 25 visited Ayodhya and placed the idols of Laxman, Bharat and Shatrughan on the new 'asans' at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple site.
After inspecting the stones carved for Ram Temple, he held a meeting with seers and members of the Ram Mandir Trust at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad headquarters at Karsewak Puram.
According to reports, Adityanath told the seers that the auspicious moment had finally arrived after a wait of 500 years, and hence the occasion must be celebrated like Diwali.
Following the CM's plea, spiritual and religious leaders decided to organise 'deepotsav', which will begin a day before the 'bhoomi pujan'. All temples and mutts in Ayodhya will shine in the light of lamps on August 4 and 5.
