Moradabad: The body of CRPF soldier, who died two days ago in Srinagar, was cremated in his hometown on Saturday morning.
Naresh Kumar was posted in Bandipora of Jammu and Kashmir. He died after the jeep he travelled overturned during a patrolling duty. Though the soldier was rushed to a hospital, he declared brought dead by the hospital authorities.
Three more CRPF men, including two officers, were injured in the incident. Kumar who got married two years ago is survived by his wife and a six-month-old daughter.
It was difficult for people to accept that the young soldier who recently returned after a month-long leave was no more.
A large number of people attended the cremation of the CRPF soldier, who has his elder serving with the same force in Sikkim.
