Chappan bhog offered to Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on the first day of New Year

On the first day of the New Year 2021, ‘56 bhog prasad’ is being offered to ‘Ram Lalla’ in the holy town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Ayodhya: Chappan Bhog or 56 food items were offered to Lord Sriram on the first day of the English new year in Ayodhya.

Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi offered Chappan Bhog to the Lord. For this, a large number of devotees queued up for a darshan of Ramlala this morning.

This 56 bhog prasad includes different types of dessert - Rasgulla, gulgula, malpua, rasmalai etc. There is an old tradition of offering 56 bhog prasad to the God on the occasion of New Year.

As the country celebrated New Year 2021, Devotees from several places offered prayers at Sriram Janmabhoomi at Ayodhya.

Devotees offered prayers to the deity and sought blessings for the year ahead. Huge gathering of devotees was seen at the temple on the occasion.

According to reports, devotees from various parts of the State and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh thronged the temple. They formed serpentine queue lines and had darshan of the presiding deity.

This year, it's special because this is the first time that the deity has come to the new temporary building from the make-shift tent.
