New Delhi: Ahead of upcoming Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, BJP has constituted a 16-member Legislative Assembly Steering Team in each assembly constituency, to manage the election campaign in the poll-bound state. The special team named 'Team-16' will manage poll campaign and will try to reach out to every voter in the state.
Every team member has different role in the team which includes Assembly In-charge, Convenor, Booth Management Task Head, Voter list task head, Program and Campaign Head, Social group contact, membership campaign head, assembly-rally-meeting-migration head, woman and male beneficiary contact head, government planning and campaign head, publicity-promotion head, IT head, social media head and treasury head.
Saffron party has also raised the number of party workers by three times in the state who are already engaged in serving people on ground-level and preparing to boost the chances of the party in the last one year.
The team members have been instructed to take all necessary support from all frontal departments to prepare well for the polls.
A 'vistarak' has been appointed under whose guidance the preparation will take place. Most of 'Vistaraks' are not from the state and have been called from outside the assembly constituency. They have also been directed to stay in the assigned constituency till the end of the poll.
