Gonda: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday reached Gonda on a day-long visit where he kicked-up a storm with a comment on the Ram temple construction and the funds being gathered for it.
While talking to reporters, Yadav questioned the fund-collection run by the VHP for the construction of the Shri Ram temple saying that it is a tactic of the Central government to divert people's attention from farmers' issues.
Talking about the coronavirus vaccine, Yadav said he trusts the medical practitioners, scientists, and doctors, it's the UP government he doesn't trust.
"If BJP is in a hurry to vaccinate everyone, then they themselves should get a shot first. After a year, we at SP will give these shots to everyone for free. Currently, we want to know when will the poor of the nation be administered vaccine for free," Yadav asked.
He further said that the SP is in tandem with the protesting farmers and the Centre should fulfil the demands by them before January 26.
Akhilesh Yadav also said that to avoid the questions of farmers and youth, the BJP government is doing Tandav.

SP will not be in alliance with any major party for the upcoming assembly elections, clarified Yadav and said that they do not mind small regional parties. He added that a mid-way will be out soon in relation to Shivpal Yadav.
Showing his support to Mamata Banerjee, he said that she is doing a great job in Bengal and she should again win the elections.
"It is really sad that the Yogi government is harassing policies based on assumptions and the BJP is only troubling Azam Khan since he made a University," Yadav said.
Akhilesh also raised the questions on the state police and said that our police were doing such a great job. The Yogi government made them dishonest. The policemen were given good vehicles with the number 100. But now, the government has increased the police rates in UP by dialling 112.
