Hyderabad (Telangana): The Hyderabad Police on Friday nabbed two inter-state burglars, and recovered 26 tolas gold and Rs 1.8 lakh in cash from the duo.
According to reports, the police apprehended two men under suspicious circumstances near the Ambedkar statue in the city's Boduppal area.
Upon questioning, the duo reportedly confessed that they were involved in multiple burglaries.
Rituraj Singh, a habitual offender, and Gaya Prasad Sen are both natives of Madhya Pradesh and started committing offences after coming from Hyderabad.
The duo used to target locked houses in isolated colonies for their burglaries. They used to conduct recee in the evening, and would come back to the area during midnight on motorcycles. They would then break open the locks of the houses and commit burglaries.
Meanwhile, the police recovered 26 tolas of gold ornaments, 2.5 kilos silver ornaments, two motorcycles, one laptop, and Rs 1,80,000 in cash from the duo.
