Hyderabad (Telangana): The proverb 'Where there is a will, there is a way' has been proved yet again as an elderly farmer from Hyderabad continues to work in his fields even after losing his one leg in an accident.

Life has thrown arduous challenges to Maddileti but that's not keeping him from doing what he loves.

A farmer ploughs his land with only one leg

Maddileti, a resident of Kodumur in Kurnool district, said that he lost his one leg in an accident while ploughing the land.

"I was ploughing the land and the plough-log had accidentally fallen on my leg. Later, the leg had to be amputated as it was developing septic," said Maddileti adding that the accident could not deter his will to continue farming.

He further said that apart from working in his own fields, he also works in other farmers' field in order to earn extra money.

It is worth mentioning here that Maddileti's relatives have appealed the government to provide him with a tractor so that his burden can be eased to some extent.
