Hyderabad: The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the nation is 1,53,106 and number of discharged cases is 1,69,797. Meanwhile, 9,520 deaths have been recorded.
Karnataka
On June 11th, a preschool meeting was conducted in a prestigious private high school in Dharwad. Unfortunately, one of the teachers attending the meeting was diagnosed with fever, common cold and cough following which she was confirmed with the infection. The virus was already spread by her to seven other attendee teachers of the meeting and her husband.
Meanwhile, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) decided to start the interstate bus services from June 17th, and the Government planned to begin the Bus services from Andhra Pradesh. Total cases reported in the state in the last 24 hours is 213.
Himachal Pradesh
The Himachal government has issued new guidelines for opening hotels in the state. According to the guidelines, only the people belonging to the state can stay in hotels. The tourism department has said that those who want to open their hotel will have to make arrangements for hand sanitizers, face mask, garbage bags, thermal scanning, gloves along with posting posters of instructions to avoid corona infection in the hotel.
Bihar
On Monday, 106 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in 23 districts in Bihar. With this, the total number of Corona patients in the state has increased to 6,581. Due to the death of a Corona patient in Nawada on Monday, the death toll in the state has reached to 39.
Meanwhile, 11 Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) homes deployed in Rajdhani Express from Patna Rajendra Nagar to Delhi have been quarantined.
On the other hand, Bihar's recovery rate has increased to 64.21 per cent.
Rajasthan
A baby born to Pemaram and his wife Sunita Devi, on 14th of May in Dausa Government Hospital, was named Lockdown Meena. During the lockdown, more than 1 lakh children were born in Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma informed media that the testing facility in Rajasthan is higher than other states and the recovery rate of patients in the state is higher than other states. Therefore, Rajasthan will now allow neighbouring states to conduct 5000 tests every day to prevent Corona infection. Raghu Sharma said that whether there is less testing facility in Haryana, Punjab or Delhi, the testing facility will be given by Rajasthan. He further added that Rajasthan has the capacity to do 25 thousand tests per day. There are also 13 to 14 thousand tests done daily in the state.
Maharashtra
After nearly two months, both the Central and Western Railway resumed their services over main and harbour line from today but confined it to 'essential staff' only. Services were stopped from 23rd of March 2020.
Meanwhile, though the number of major crimes has decreased in the state, cybercrime rates have been rising amid the lock-down. The academic year 2020-2021 started from today in Maharashtra, schools will be resumed from July taking stock of the situation further decisions will be made.
Odisha
State Information and Public Relations Department has informed today that Odisha has reported 146 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total tally reached 4,055. Of the 146 new COVID-19 cases, 128 cases have been detected from quarantine centres while 18 are through local contacts.
Jharkhand
Another coronavirus infected patient has died at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS). The patient was a resident of Gumla district. The death toll of coronavirus patients in Jharkhand has reached to 9. Two doctors of the hospital have also been infected with Coronavirus. The number of corona patients in the state is 1,761, of which 1,451 are migrant workers. Meanwhile, 11 priests are chanting 44 thousand Mahamrityunjaya Mantras in Jyotirlinga Babadham to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Uttar Pradesh
According to Uttar Pradesh Chief Health Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad, 1,6,46,312 migrant workers have been surveyed so far by Asha workers in the state, out of which 1455 have got some symptoms of the corona. By Monday evening, 476 new cases were reported in 24 hours. While 18 people died in the state.
Gujarat
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday said that his government does not plan to impose lockdown again in the state. Dismissing speculations being made on social media platforms about the lockdown, the chief minister urged people not to get carried away by such "unfounded rumours".
The state government on Monday announced an increase in the prices of petrol and diesel each by Rs 2 per litre. The new rates will come into effect from midnight tonight, the step is being taken in view of the state revenue dipping significantly due to coronavirus-enforced lockdown while the state expenditure going up to fight the COVID-19 crisis, said deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, who also holds the Finance portfolio.
New Delhi
Union Minister Amit Shah reviewed the preparations being made for the prevention of Coronavirus on Monday at Loknayak Jayaprakash hospital. Shah has been meeting with the Chief Minister and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi continuously for the last 2 days. He was accompanied by Delhi Government Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria, Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Hospital Medical Director Suresh Kumar and other officials.
Punjab
127 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state today. Total cases rose to 3,267. 4 people died today due to the virus. Total death in the state stands at 71. Active cases are 753, out of 9 patients are on oxygen support and one patient is critical and on ventilator support.
In Ajnala 16 BSF jawans have been tested positive for Coronavirus. All have been admitted in Jalandhar COVID-19 centre. Ajnala SDM said that Corona tests have been conducted on 66 soldiers, out of which 2 had earlier reported positive and 16 had tested positive today.
Madhya Pradesh
After 84 days, religious places in the capital city of Bhopal have been opened for common people. On the first day, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan visited Karunadham Ashram to perform Pooja. Proper guidelines have been issued by the government to the people as well as religious establishment managements. After the opening of the religious place today, Muslim’s offered namaz while following the social distancing norms in the mosques. Although, apart from Bhopal religious places in rest parts of the state were opened from 8th of June.
Haryana
The state has joined the list of top 10 states in the country, leaving behind Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. As of June 15th morning, there have been more than 7 thousand cases of Corona infection in the state. There were 24 death till the 6th of June and till the morning of 15th of June the number of deaths reached 88.
