Abdul Kalam Makkal Paathukaapu Arakattalai set a world record on Tuesday by creating the Indian national flag with thumb impressions of 73 volunteers in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu.

Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu): Abdul Kalam Makkal Paathukaapu Arakattalai (Abdul Kalam Trust) set a world record by creating the Indian national flag with thumb impressions of over 73 volunteers on Monday.

World Record: National flag created by using thumb impression

The Abdul Kalam Trust successfully created the world record in 26 minutes by superseding the previous world record of 30 minutes. The old DCB world record was made on 69th Independence with 69 volunteers.

The flag was made out of a cloth measuring 112 ft in length and 5 ft in breath.

The world record was dedicated to the Missile man of India- APJ Abdul Kalam.

Tiruppur: Abdul Kalam Makkal Paathukaapu Arakattalai (Abdul KalamTrust) arranged an event in which 73 volunteers will make tri-color flag by using their thumb impression.



The focus of this world record is to remember the 'Missile Man of India, Abdul Kalam, and to create an awareness about helpline number 112. The volunteers have used 112 ft lenghth and 5 ft breath cloth. 



Years back, 69 volunteers have done the same world record in our 69th Independence Day. The record was that 65 thumb impressions within 30 minutes of time. 



So, these 73 volunteers have set the target of maximum thumb impressions within 26 minutes of time.



Senthil, who is from TCP World Record, has informed that whethere these 73 volunteers have overtaken the previous record or what will be announced later.
