One dead as under construction building collapses in Madurai

A building collapse in Madurai claimed one life on Friday evening. Three injured have been admitted to hospital and the rescue operation is still underway.

Madurai: One person died as a four-storey under-construction building collapsed near Usilampatti in Madurai on Friday.

While three people were rescued by the rescue team, two others are still trapped under the debris.

The injured have been admitted to hospital.

A rescue operation is underway.
