A 40-year-old man was beaten to death by a mob when he killed his mother-in-law by stabbing and pouring acid on her in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district. The police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for autopsy.

Namakkal (Tamil Nadu): A man was beaten to death by a mob when he killed his mother-in-law by stabbing and pouring acid on her in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district.

Samuel, 40, often quarrelled with his wife over petty issues. On Saturday when the two got into a fresh altercation, Samual's mother-in-law raised the alarm and gathered the villagers.

Seeing this, Samual got furious which made him stab and pour acid on his mother-in-law. Subsequently, he was also overpowered and beaten to death by villagers.

According to sources, the police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for postmortem.

The police are investing the matter but no one has been detained yet, added sources.

Intro:Body:

65 years old lady name Dhanam hails from Gurusamipalayam in Namakkal district, TN. She is a widow. Her two sons and three daughters got married and Dhanam is now living alone. Dhanam third daughter Vijaya's husband died in a bus accident, six years ago. Vijaya is now living alone and had an illegal contact with Samuel from Dharmapuri after her husband death. Samuel now leaves Vijaya, after he look up into vijaya's younger sisters daughter Vasanthi and also had desire with her. After knowing this Vijaya's family warned Samuel, as he intended to reach vasanthi.

Later this incident, Samuel got angry and went to vijay's home with acid and knife and planned to kidnap vasanthi. During that time vasanthi's grandmother was stay along with her, Samuel entered and threatens Dhanam to send vasanthi with him.

At that time vasanthi's grandmother Dhanam rises her voice and nearby residentials gathered front of their house. After seeing a crowd, Samuel decides to defend himself by throwing acid which he already took on the people gathered outside. Scuffle happened More than 10 people were reportedly injured. Later on they are rushed to the hospital and informed about this incident to police.

After that Police arrived spot and tried to restore Dhanam from Samuel's control. But Samuel killed grandmother by stabbing and pouring acid on her. Furious villagers gathered together and hits samuel with an iron rod and a stick.

Samuel died on the spot. Following this, police seized Dhanam and the killer Samuel bodies and sent to Government Hospital for atopsy. Police are currently investigating about the incident.

According to police, several theft cases are pending against the killer Samuel.
