Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu): In a heart-wrenching incident, an infant was found dumped in bushes near a pond in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli district.
According to reports, villagers spotted the infant dumped near a pond in Seevalaperi after they heard her cries. They then informed the police, who rescued the infant and sent her to the Palayankottai government hospital.
A police official said that the infant is presently in good condition and that she would be sent to the childcare centre once all her medical checks are carried out.
Meanwhile, the Seevalaperi police have registered a case in the regard and investigation into the matter is underway.
