Chennai: A man and woman were mowed down by a car at Villavakam in Tamil Nadu's Chennai on Friday morning. Reportedly, the driver was in a highly inebriated state. The horrific incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area.
Drunk car driver kills two in Chennai
The video shows a red Toyota Innova car taking a turn into a lane, running over an individual. While a woman tries to stop the car, the diver accelerates and mows down the woman and drags her along.
As people run after the car, the man lies dead on the street.
The deceased were identified as Sarasa and Mohan.
While a case has been registered under IPC 304 (a) for culpable homicide, the matter is under investigation.
