Chennai (Tamil Nadu): Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi's office on Friday clarified that the Governor has not approved any action under the National Security Act (NSA) Manish Kashyap, the arrested YouTuber from Bihar in the fake video case relating to attacks on migrant workers. The circular from Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan mentioned that fake messages are being spread on social media saying that R N Ravi has approved the NSA action against the YouTuber.

The circular from the Governor's office also requested the citizens not to promote any unverified information or appropriate action will be taken as per the law against the violators.

The circular released by the Public Relations officer read, "It has come to our notice that a message is being circulated in social media quoting Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu has approved an action under National Security Act against an individual from Bihar. It is clarified that the information is not true. Hon'ble Governor has not approved any National Security Act against any individual himself. We request citizens not to share/promote such unverified forwards or content. Appropriate action as per law will be initiated against those found propagating false and misleading information."
