Erode: Dr Celine hailing from Modakkurichi, Erode district of Tamil Nadu is included in the special medical team spearheading the containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the United States of America. The team was set up by the US President elect-Joe Biden.

Celine's father migrated to the United States during his early years to pursue his studies in medicine. He worked as a doctor for 29 years. Following her father's profession, Celine also became a doctor.
Earlier, Celine had spent her two years of research on diseases commonly found in tribal people in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu and returned to the USA.
