Chennai (Tamil Nadu): The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M K Stalin on Saturday demanded the government to come out with the cost at which the COVID-19 test equipment has been purchased.
Pointing out the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh announcing the cost at which the Coronovirus test kits were bought, Stalin in a social media post said the Tamil Nadu government should announce the price paid for the purchase of test equipment.
He said there should be transparency in governance.
The Tamil Nadu government has been augmenting the medical facilities across the state to handle COVID-19 patients.
Chief Minister K Palaniswami had said the government has placed an order of 1.25 lakh rapid test kits with a Chinese company and has received 24,000 kits.
