Madurai: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated in a notification that Dr V M Katoch would be appointed as the President of AIIMS hospital, Madurai.
Currently, he is the President of JIPMER, Puducherry.
The Central government has also appointed Dr Sudha Seshayyan as a member of AIIMS.
She is the Vice-Chancellor of The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.
It should also be noted that Dr Shanmugam Subbaiah, professor of Government Kilpauk Medical College, involved in the controversy of alleged sexual harassment of a 52-year-old woman is also appointed as a member.
The professor is the national president of ABVP.
