TN company unveils electric motorbike

As the pollution level is increasing day by day, people have started moving towards eco-friendly gadgets. In such an effort for the first time, a private motor company has produced an eco-friendly electric motorbike in Coimbatore. Besides normal riding, the bike can be operated on reverse mode and race mode.

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu): For the first time in the country a private motor company has produced an environmentally friendly electric motorbike in Coimbatore.

The e-bike, Prana, has several attractive features and caught the attention of youth. Besides normal riding, the bike can be operated on reverse mode and race mode.

The people are aware of the adverse impact of climate change and environment being affected by increasing pollution every day and it damages the quality of air, water, and earth. India is no exception to the ever-increasing contamination and it takes a toll on the health of the people. As the numbers of petrol and diesel vehicles are increasing the level of pollution also increasing. The people are opting for environment-friendly vehicles for the past few years.

Srivaru Motors Private Limited, Coimbatore has come out with an eco-friendly electric motorbike, ‘Prana’. The aerodynamic Prana has several attractive features and it can reach a top speed of 123 kmph and can touch 60 kmph within four minutes. Telescopic Suspension arrests vibrations in the two-wheeler.

The bike, weighing 160 kg, can travel for about 126 km on a single charge. The digital display provides information including battery charge, speed and more.

Explaining about the features of ‘Pranav’ engineer Mohan Periyasamy of Srivaru Motors Private Limited said riding has been made easy and comfortable since it offers no vibration to the users. They enjoy hassle-free travel since the bike has no clutches. The bike does not emit any gas. “We offer a discount of Rs 25,000 for the customers who come out with photos of planting 10 tree plants”, Mohan Periyasamy said.

Designer of the vehicle Arvind said the youth are beginning to like the bike since it offers a wide range of attractive features. It has three modes of riding. Besides normal riding, the bike can be operated on reverse mode and race mode. In the drive mode one can attain a maximum speed of 123kmph with smooth acceleration, sports mode maximum speed of 123kmph and reverse mode ride can travel a max speed of less than 5kmph.

The bike comes out three colours - Mystery Black, Passionate Red, Progressive Green and price range up to Rs 2.25 lakh.
