Banswara: Three men allegedly attacked a couple and raped the woman in Banswara district of Rajasthan, police said on Tuesday.
The couple was passing from the road and were on their way to their house when they were stopped by three miscreants.
The accused allegedly beaten the couple and took the woman into the forest and gang-raped her.
Later, the miscreants threw the woman near her house.
A day later, the couple filed the complaint in the Sadar police station against the three accused.
District Superintendent of Police, Kesar Singh Shekhawat gave necessary directions to the Sadar police in view of the seriousness of the case and said that soon the accused will be held.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
