Bharatpur: Hundreds of residents of Samogargaon village in Rajasthan's Bharatpur pelted police with stones on Tuesday morning after they entered the area to nab miscreants. Some police officers suffered injuries in that stone-pelting.
According to sources, the stone-pelting happened after police entered into the village to arrest an accused following which the villagers threw stones at police. It was the second attack in Bharatpur district.

The police have registered a case against the villagers who attacked us and the miscreants will be arrested soon," said Bharatpur ASP, Suresh Khinchi.
"Keeping in view the stone-pelting incident, we have deployed additional police to tackle the situation," said Khinchi.
"Some more villagers abused them and tried to beat them up. The team had to run away and the police vehicle too also damaged in the stone-pelting by villagers. The injured police personnel have been admitted to the community health centre," he further said.
