Rape accused sent to judicial custody

A man, who is accused of raping a minor girl on Saturday evening while she was collecting firewood from the fields, has been sent into judicial custody. Police said his other accomplice, who is on the run, will also be arrested soon.

Kaman (Rajasthan): A man, who along with his friend allegedly raped a minor girl last week, was sent to judicial custody, official sources said.

On Sunday, a man got a case registered saying that his 14-year-old daughter was raped by two people last evening while she had gone to the fields to collect firewood, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Yadav said.

He said one of the accused, identified as Ansaar of Nagla Shahjad village of Bharatpur district, was arrested and produced before the court to an online proceeding. The court then sent him to the judicial custody.

The police official said that several police teams are working to arrest the other accused. He hoped that the other accused would also be arrested soon.
