Sri Ganganagar: A woman from Sri Ganganagar has accused Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Deep Kamboj of allegedly molesting her leading her to opt for abortion. Kamboj, however, refuted the allegation saying he was honey-trapped. Sri Ganganagar women police station has registered a case and started investigation.
The woman has also accused Kamboj's three friends of being involved in the case. At a press conference in Abohar, the woman said that Kamboj had sexually abused her due to which she became pregnant and had to go for abortion by taking pills. She said she had gone to seek help from Kamboj in a matter but he said that it was not possible for him to talk as the party office was very crowded. Instead, he told her that he would speak to her separately.
After which, Kamboj had sexually exploited her in a hotel in Sri Ganganagar. She said that three friends of Kamboj were also involved.
Later on, Kamboj held a press conference clarifying himself and alleged that the woman was blackmailing him. He said that he came in contact with the woman around six months ago but denied allegations of sexual abuse. He said that the woman was a constable in Rajasthan Police and she is known for honey trapping men and then blackmails them.
Kamboj said that a few days ago the woman had demanded Rs three lakhs from him. He said that he has already informed the senior leaders of the party. He further claimed that his opponents have instigated the woman to file a case against him.

Sriganganagar SP Paris Deshmukh said a case has been registered and investigations are underway.
