Jodhpur: Three members of a family were killed while two persons were critically injured in an attack allegedly by unidentified miscreants at Jotibas village under Bilada police limits in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. The deceased persons have been identified as Jawrilal, his wife, and child.
According to sources, some unidentified miscreants barged into Jawrilal's house last night and attacked them with sharp weapons.
While three of the family members had died on the spot, two are said to have received serious injuries and are being treated at a hospital.
On being informed, police reached the spot this morning and launched a probe into the incident.
Though the actual cause behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, the police have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants, sources said. "We have information that three members - a man, his wife and his son - were killed by unidentified miscreants," said Superintendent of Police, Rahul Barahat.
Barahat told that the exact cause behind the incident has not yet been ascertained but land or family feud was suspected to be the reason behind it.
We have sent a police force to investigate the matter, he added.
