Jaipur: At an age when children are busy playing, a ten-year-old girl from Jaipur has already authored two books, with one of the books revolving around the story of a princess, and the other being a compilation of short stories and poems named 'Fire Flight of My Thoughts' which scheduled to be published in September.

When she was five years old Rishika Kasliwal developed an interest in reading books, which gradually transformed into her passion. Currently, she has a collection of 700 different books.

Rishika reads two books a day, with her favourite authors being Enid Blyton and JK Rowling, who have greatly influenced her.

She believes that reading books is not just a pastime, but a way to broaden one's knowledge.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Rishika's mother Rashmi Kasliwal said, "Rishika's passion for reading books is so strong that we always find her with a book in her hand. Sometimes, at night, we scold her for the same. If someone asks her what she needs, she hands them a list of books."

It was in March 2017, that she started writing for the first time. As usual, she started to jot down her thoughts in a notebook and framed it into a story named 'Adventures of Princess Clara'. With this, Rishika began her journey as a writer.

Her second book, which is a compilation of various short stories and poems, will be available in the market and on the shopping sites like Amazon and Flipkart from the first week of September.

Besides writing and reading, she also likes painting and ballet dancing.

Rishika stands as an inspiration to all those children who consider reading a boring activity.
