Jaipur: A police official in Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan was caught red-handed while taking Rs 7,000 cash as bribe on Monday.
According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Mohar Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector at Sadar police station in Sri Gandhinagar had demanded the bribe from a person for not issuing red corner notice.
On a complaint, the anti-graft body laid a trap and caught the ASI red-handed.
The investigation by Hanumangarh ACB revealed that the complaint already gave Rs 1000 during verification.
The complainant, Mahavir Swamy gave Rs 5000 in the during the investigation and Rs 3000 challan in the case number 70/2020.
