Special Forces officer missing in Jodhpur since Thursday

On January 07th, during a routine exercise at Takhat Sagar near the Kayalana lake of Jodhpur, four jawans jumped from a helicopter, out of which 3 jawans swam to their boat but Gupta went missing in the water. For 2 days, the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) team including private divers and police divers have also been looking for Captain Gupta but no leads could be made.

Jodhpur: Search operation continued for the third day for Captain Ankit Gupta, 10 Para SF, who went missing since Thursday.

On 07th January, during a routine exercise at Takhat Sagar near the Kayalana lake of Jodhpur, four jawans jumped from a helicopter, out of which 3 jawans swam to their boat but Gupta went missing in the water.

For 2 days, the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) team including private divers and police divers have also been looking for Captain Gupta but no leads could be made.

Nearly 100 special Marcos commandos of the Navy have been called in on Friday night by helicopter, who have started the search for Captain Gupta since Saturday morning.

Captain Ankit Gupta's wife also reached Jodhpur on Friday evening. The rest of the Gupta family is expected to reach the spot by Saturday.

At present, the army personnel have sealed the entire area around Takhat Sagar and stopped the common people from going there.
