India approached Pakistan over jailed youth: Ex-MP

Official documents were sent to Pakistan Embassy for the return of a young man from Rajasthan jailed in Pakistan. The youth has been in prison for 82 days after he crossed the border in Barmer.

Barmer: In a fresh development on the return of Barmer youth jailed in Pakistan, Former MP Manvendra Singh said that India has approached Pakistan.

Singh took to Twitter to state that officials documents were sent to Pakistan Embassy for the return of Rajasthan youngster jailed in Pakistan for 82 days. He further stated that it is a positive action taken by the government.

On November 6, the youth was caught by Pakistan Rangers. Border Security Force received information from Pakistan rangers that he has been imprisoned. The youth crossed the barricades of Pakistan, as anticipated by his family members. Security agencies have been issued an alert.

He was working as a labourer in Gamer, Jodhpur and on November 5, he came to Bijraad, his hometown. Family members of the youth have been constantly pleading with the police and authorities to bring him back.
