Kota: Union Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, "no one is actually opposing the new farm laws and labour reform codes, there is confusion among people".
The union minister, who was here to pay homage to the father of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Shrikrishna Birla who passed away last week, told ETV Bharat that "no one has registered opposition to the newly formed laws".
The minister said there had been talks about reforming the farm and labour laws for a long time but the UPA government did not do anything about it for ten years of its rule from 2004 to 2014.
Gangwar said the central government has accepted 74 per cent of the suggestions made by the people of the country for the farm and labour laws.
"We had received 233 suggestions, 74 per cent of which have been accepted," he said.
