Jaipur: Satish Poonia, president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, on Tuesday said that "the party does not need Sachin Pilot to win elections or form the government in Rajasthan". Speaking to ETV Bharat, Poonia further stated that the saffron party is capable in every respect and has also formed a government various times on its own in the state and the country.
Speaking over the REET paper leak in the state, Poonia lashed out at Ashok Gehlot government saying that agitation will be organised. Poonia said, "we will go for an agitation against it."
While Poonia shrugged off the question of being Rajasthan BJP president again or seeing himself as the next chief minister. He said " such decisions are taken by the top brass of the party," Poonia did not accept any kind of confrontation with former chief minister Vasundhara Raje within the party. Poonia claimed, "everything is going well at the party."
