Jaipur: Amid the ongoing bureautic tug of war in Rajasthan, the Gehlot government appointed the state's most senior IAS officer Niranjan Kumar Arya as the chief secretary.
The officer from the 1989 batch previously handled the finance department. The appointment comes after Rajeeva Swarup failed to get an extension.
