Khwaja Garib Nawaz's shrine sees the custom of 'Gusal Dena', wards off evil spirits

A sea of faith and devotion has emerged and devotees from all over the world visit the Mazar of Khwaja Garib Nawaz in Ajmer. On the celebratory occasion of Urs, a custom of ‘Gusal Dena' takes place at the shrine. Although the Khwaja's grace and charm have always given a holy vibe to the shrine devotees, it is also said that lighting a lamp at this holy shrine takes away the darkness from their lives and the deepest wishes of their heart will be fulfilled.

Ajmer: The shrine or the Mazar of Khwaja Garib Nawaz is truly a sight to behold. A sea of faith and devotion has emerged and devotees from all over the world visit the holy shrine.

Khwaja Garib Nawaz's shrine sees the custom of 'Gusal Dena', wards off level spirits

Millions around the country and the world are staunch devotees and have completely implicit faith in his glory.

For his devotees, everything related to the mystic ‘Khwaja Garib Nawaz' is pure pious and sacrosanct. On the celebratory occasion of Urs, a custom of ‘Gusal Dena' takes place at the shrine.

During the occasion of Urs, the Mazar-E-Sharif is washed by water, purified by ‘fragrance’.

It is believed that the water used for cleaning the Mazar-E-Sharif is not wasted but the devotes consume it and they get relief from their pains and ills, host of the dargah Khadim Sayyed Zahoor Chisti informed.

Mohammad Rafi(a devotee from South Africa) stated that he visits the shrine every year and consume the holy water after the custom of ‘gusal’ which is incredibly pure and after consuming it a person can reach their true fate.

Oil and ghee wards evil spirits:

Although the Khwaja's grace and charm have always given a holy vibe to the shrine devotees, it is also said that lighting a lamp at this holy shrine takes away the darkness from their lives and the deepest wishes of their heart will be fulfilled.

It is also a popular belief that the ghee or oil which is used to light these lamps when applied on the head or when kajal made from the ‘Chirag’ not only benefits their eyesight but also rids people from health ailments and the effect of evil spirits.

Jasia Biwi, a devotee from Himmat Nagar in Gujarat said that she believes that the ghee kajal and oil from the dargah rids of diseases. Millions around the globe profess undying faith towards the shrine.

It is this faith which brings hundreds of thousands of devotees on the pious occasion of Urs to the pious and powerful shrine who on the occasion of Urs forget their pains and come to bathe in the ‘Noor ki Baarish' and light up their lives.
