Jaipur/Kota: The Income Tax department has cracked down on businessmen close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Raids were conducted at the locations of Congress leaders Rajiv Arora and Dharmendra Rathore and other associate traders.
During the action of the Income Tax Department on three big groups, more than two crore cash has been recovered so far. Rs 65 crores worth of jewellery and antique products have also been seized. Along with this, a large number of digital data has also been captured.
The teams of the Income Tax Department have raided locations in Jaipur, Kota, Delhi and Mumbai. Although the dept hasn't recovered less than estimates and information, they have claimed to have seized incriminating documents. The Income Tax Department teams are now preparing to scrutinize the documents.

The raids come amidst a political storm in the state. 50 locations linked to six businessmen, including those close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his son Vaibhav Gehlot, have been raided by the IT dept so far. According to informed sources, evidence of undisclosed income of crores of rupees has been found during the raid operations. However, the officials of the Income Tax Department have not yet disclosed anything about the action.
According to sources, information is coming out that cash and jewellery worth crores of rupees have also been seized at the locations of Om Metal Group. The raiding teams are examining the documents of the traders after taking action at different locations.
