Jhalawar (Rajasthan): The bodies of a 20-year-old youth and an 18-year-old girl were found hanging from a mango tree outside Khokda village in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan on Tuesday morning.
After carrying out an initial investigation, the police identified the man as Govind Barwa, a resident of Jaganpura village which comes under Bakani police jurisdiction and the girl as Kiran Barwa, a resident of Undal village. According to the reports, their parents are working in a stone factory in Jhalawar district.
"Initial reports suggest that both had left their houses on Sunday midnight and apparently hanged themselves to death, police claimed. However, the exact reason is yet to be ascertained. We have registered a case and a probe is underway", said Bakani Sub-Inspector Lakshman Singh.
The bodies have been sent for an autopsy and further details will be known only after receiving the post-mortem report, added Singh.
