Alwar: Five members of a family were killed in a major road mishap that took place on Jaipur-Delhi National Highway-8 here on Thursday.

According to Shahjahanpur police, the accident took place when at around 11 am, a Maruti car coming from Delhi rammed into a dumper parked on the roadside.
After receiving the information, Shahjahanpur police reached the spot and took the eight injured car occupants to the hospital where five of them were declared brought dead.

The deceased people hailed from Shahjahanpur and their bodies had been sent for post-mortem examination, said Ajit Barasra, SHO, Shahjahanpur police station.
