Dausa: A 17-years-old girl is the latest victim of borewell mishaps in the state in the Lalsot subdivision of Dausa district of Rajasthan on Friday. Hundreds of villagers reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.
The police and the district administration have reached the spot and started digging a hole parallel to the pipe.
Anokhi Meena, a resident of Anuppura village in Lalsot police station area, went to bathe near a borewell along with her sister. During this time she fell into a dry borewell near to the farm. On receiving the information, subdivision officer Jagdish Gurjar and his team reached the spot and started digging borewells with the help of JCB.
Gurjar told the depth of the borewell is approximately 40 feet and there is water about 3 feet inside the borewell. He told that even light is not able to reach to the depth of it, due to this it is difficult to see the girl in the borewell.
