Sambalpur: A woman and her two children were found dead under mysterious condition inside a locked house in Sambalpur on Saturday. Police have registered a case and investigations are on. The cause of death can be ascertained only after getting the postmortem report, police said.
Sazia Parveen (32) lived with her son Abdul Rehman(9) and daughter Humera Taiba (7) in the house in Sambalpur's Sunapali area under Dhanupali police station. Sazia's husband had died two years back. Local residents said that the house was locked from inside for almost a week.
The local residents informed Dhanupali Police that a foul smell was coming out from the locked house for the last few days. After getting information, police reached the spot. They broke down the lock of the main door and went inside. Sazia was found lying dead on the floor along with her children under mysterious condition, police said.
"A case has been registered and the three bodies were sent for postmortem. We will understand the cause of the three deaths after getting the post-mortem report," Dhanupali SDPO said.

According to locals, Sazia had an affair with a youth named Salman Ahmed. Salman could be seen visiting Sazia's house frequently but for the last few days he was not seen in the locality, said a neighbour. Locals suspected that Salman is involved in the murder. "We did not see Sazia or her children for the last one week," said another neighbour.
Police said that the case is being investigated and the local people would be questioned. The culprit would be booked soon, police added.
