Koppal: Koppal MP Karadi Sanganna and District Collector P. Sunil Kumar gave a green signal to the Shramik train that carried 1454 workers from Karnataka to Odisha on Friday.
The event turned out to be a moment of celebration as migrant workers were sent off with applause.
Food arrangements were also made for travellers in the train which is expected to reach Odisha on May 31.
Out of 1454 workers, 880 people are from Koppal district, 248 are from Raichur district, 138 people from Chitradurga district and 149 workers from Bellary district.
