Puri: The pilgrim town Puri, which has been accorded the Blue flag tag is now ready to welcome tourists again.
After the state government lifted restrictions imposed in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the district administration of Puri has opened this world-class beautiful beach to tourists.
According to sources, after completion of blue flag beach work, the beach has to fulfil 33 conditions.
Ahead of the approval, a massive developmental drive has been completed to beautify the beach and to meet the total of 33 criteria that have been fixed to get the Blue Flag tag, sources said.
"If the Puri sea beach gets this certificate, then the beach at the temple town of Puri which is known as “Shree Kshetra, would be a tourist attraction for the whole world. The blue flag beach work on the seashore behind the Raj Bhavan complex has been completed," said Sanjeeb, a tourist.
