Mumbai: Commuters rushed to railway stations in Mumbai for QR code needed for the passes required to travel in local trains in the city. Process of offline verification of documents for the passes to travel in local trains started at 50 railway stations in Mumbai on Wednesday.
People were seen standing in long queue for the verification since 6 am. People who have received both shots of Covid vaccine can travel in Mumbai local trains from Aug 15.
Some people complained that the process started one-and-half-hour late at a center. Some complained that administration didn't announce that all documents needed for the verification. The process of verification of documents was seen at brisk phase in many of the centers. The verification will go on from morning 7 am to night 11 pm.
Railway is issuing a special QR code to the people who got two vaccine shots by verifying their vaccination certificates. People rushed to railway stations for the QR code at Thane as well.
